The Durston Professional Razor Flush Tapered Cutter 115mm delivers sharp, laser-precision edges engineered for seamless, repeatable cuts. The tapered jaw profile provides enhanced access to tight, close-work areas and fine detail work while leaving a minimal pinch mark. By cutting at the center of the jaw rather than the tips, the tapered head design also helps protect the cutting edges from premature damage.

These cutters feature a lap joint construction, in which one half of the joint overlaps the other with an adjustable screw set through both halves. This design allows the joint tension to be fine-tuned as needed over the life of the tool.

A double-leaf spring mechanism — consisting of flat, tempered metal tabs mounted to the inside of each handle — holds the handles apart and the jaws open between cuts. When the handles are squeezed closed, the spring delivers a fast, strong rebound for improved productivity during extended use sessions.

The ergonomic poly handles offer a comfortable, secure grip that helps reduce hand fatigue during long work sessions at the bench.

Jewelry metal alloys are significantly harder and will accelerate wear. All flush cutters are inherently delicate tools — exercise caution, especially when cutting near the tips. Use the middle of the cutting edge whenever possible.

If tip damage occurs, the recommended remedy is to grind the undamaged side down to match the damaged side and continue use. Dents in the cutting surface indicate that the metal being cut exceeds the hardness limits of the tool.
