The Durston Professional Semi Flush Tapered Cutter 115mm delivers sharp, laser-precision edges engineered for seamless, repeatable cuts. The tapered head design provides enhanced access to close work areas and fine details, while protecting the delicate tips by directing cutting force to the center of the jaw — where the blade is strongest.

Built with a lap joint construction, one half of the joint overlaps the other with a screw set through both halves, allowing the joint tension to be adjusted as needed for optimal performance over the life of the tool.

The double-leaf spring mechanism uses flat, tempered metal tabs mounted to the inside of each handle. These tabs meet and hold the handles apart — keeping the jaws open at rest — until squeezed closed, delivering a fast, strong rebound for enhanced productivity during repetitive cutting tasks.

Ergonomic poly handles provide a comfortable, secure grip to reduce hand fatigue during extended use at the bench.

Important cutting limits and care guidelines:

• Cutting capacity ratings are based on soft copper wire only. Metal alloys commonly used in jewelry are considerably harder and will reduce effective cutting limits.
• Avoid cutting nickel-based white gold alloys.
• All flush cutters are delicate tools — use the middle of the cutting edge whenever possible and exercise care when cutting near the tips.
• If tip damage occurs, the undamaged side may be ground down to match the damaged side to extend usable life.
