Glardon-Vallorbe Valtitan Needle Files are specially treated to achieve a hardness of 72 HRc on the Rockwell scale — the hardest steel file known. This treatment makes Valtitan files corrosion resistant, longer lasting, and resistant to metal accumulation in the teeth. A simple knock is typically sufficient to clear chips from the file. Valtitan files are recommended for platinum and other hard metals such as stainless steel, and perform excellently on all metals.
Each set includes six 7" (180 mm) Valtitan needle files in your choice of Cut 0 Coarse or Cut 2 Medium. Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss-made precision files are manufactured to exacting production standards, combining machine cutting with hand craftsmanship to produce accurate, fast-cutting, and long-lasting files. They are made of the finest heat-tempered, chrome alloy steel.
Note: Beginning in 2016, Valtitan files are no longer identified by painted yellow tangs. They are now stamped VALTITAN to distinguish them from standard files.
