Glardon-Vallorbe LO0403-HSS Onglette Traditional Gravers-1.16mm to 3.36mm

Glardon-Vallorbe makes many different onglette gravers in both High Speed Steel (HSS) and carbon steel. These are the Glardon-Vallorbe LO0403 HSS onglette traditional gravers, which require shaping and fitting into a handle before use. High Speed Steel is harder than carbon steel, holds an edge longer, and requires less frequent sharpening when working with most metals — making it the professional's choice for demanding engraving work.

These Swiss Made HSS gravers are recognized as the finest quality jewelers' engravers on the market, identified by the Fish trademark and the Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Made brand name. Manufactured by Usines Metallurgiques de Vallorbe SA (UMV) of Vallorbe, Switzerland, they were previously sold in the USA under the Grobet name. Since 2015, they have been marketed under the Glardon-Vallorbe factory brand — the same name used throughout the rest of the world. Jewelers, engravers, and stonesetters everywhere rely on the consistent quality and perfect temper of these precision-made gravers.

Suitable for use with all types of metals, wood, bone, ivory, and onyx. Used by engravers, stonesetters, die sinkers, jewelers, and watchmakers. Many gravers are marked with both the USA graver number and the Swiss graver number. Swiss sizing is given in 1/10 mm increments; USA sizing is also provided where available.
