Glardon-Vallorbe LO0404-WS oval gravers in carbon steel are the traditional, unhandled gravers trusted by professional engravers, stone setters, die sinkers, jewelers, and watchmakers for generations. These are traditional gravers that require shaping and fitting into a handle before use. Carbon steel delivers the ideal combination of edge-holding ability and working hardness for engraving precious metals, wood, bone, ivory, and onyx.

These Swiss-made gravers are recognized as among the finest jewelers' engravers available, identified by the Fish trademark and the Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Made name. Each graver measures 100mm overall — 65mm of useable shape with a 35mm tang. Swiss sizing is designated in 1/10mm increments, with USA sizing also noted where available. Many gravers are marked with both the USA and Swiss graver numbers for easy identification at the bench.

Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Made gravers are manufactured by Usines Métallurgiques de Vallorbe SA (UMV) of Vallorbe, Switzerland. Previously sold in the USA under the Grobet name, since 2015 these gravers have been marketed under the factory brand name Glardon-Vallorbe — the same name used throughout the rest of the world.
