The Glardon-Vallorbe Multifile Precision File features an unusual cut pattern specifically engineered for working with aluminum, brass, copper, mild steel, plastic, and hardwood. Its rounded tooth structure promotes excellent chip evacuation, significantly reducing clogging on the file surface — a common challenge when working with softer metals and non-ferrous materials.
Versatile enough to serve as both a precision file and a machinist's or engineer's file, the Multifile is well suited across multiple industries and trades. Because its cut pattern differs from conventional file cuts, it uses a unique rating system based on the number of teeth per square centimeter rather than standard cut grades. Both available lengths are coarse files; the 8" version is slightly less coarse than the 10" version.
