Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Made Precision Files are the world's standard for quality and performance. Manufactured to precise production standards using a combination of machine cutting and hand craftsmanship, these files deliver superior performance on all metals. They are made of the finest heat-tempered, chrome alloy steel and offer the feel, action, and balance desired by true craftsmen. Formerly distributed by Grobet USA under the Grobet Swiss label.
Pillar files are parallel in width and tapered in thickness, making perfectly flat filing possible. The Pillar Extra Slim 2 Sides Cut configuration features double-cut teeth on the top and bottom faces, with one edge left safe (no cut). Measurements are given at the thickest point of the file.

Notes
- File length is measured from the point where the teeth begin to the end of the file — the tang is not included. For example, a 6" file measures approximately 8½" from tip to end of tang.
- Measurements given for file dimensions are taken at the thickest point of the file.
- Higher cut numbers indicate finer teeth: 00 is the coarsest, 6 is the finest.
