The Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Precision Joint Round Edge Files Basic Kit of 9 brings together one each of the most popular sizes in this specialized file series, ranging from 0.40mm to 1.50mm. This curated set gives jewelers, metalsmiths, and luthiers immediate access to the sizes they reach for most, without having to source each file individually.

Joint Round Edge files are parallel in both width and thickness, with rounded edges, and are cut on the edges only. This unique geometry allows the file to work depth-wise in tight, narrow spaces without widening the channel — making them indispensable for fabricating joints, hinges, and tubing. They are also widely used in guitar repair and servicing as bridge and nut slotting files.

All Glardon-Vallorbe Joint Round Edge files in this series are available in cut 2 (medium) only, in a 100mm (4") cut length and 10mm (0.39") width. The overall length including tang is 5-5/8".
