Notes

Suitable for most jewelry metals (gold, silver, platinum) and hard gemstones such as diamonds, rubies, sapphires, amethyst, and citrine. Note that ultrasonics do not remove tarnish.

Do not ultrasonically clean:

  • Soft or porous stones: emerald, opal, turquoise, pearls, amber, ivory
  • Stones with many inclusions or fractures; heat- or shock-sensitive materials
  • Complete watches submerged in the tank — immerse bracelets only using a holder, keeping the watch head above the solution

Operating and care guidelines:

  • Most cleaning occurs in the first 30 seconds; avoid continuous unattended operation
  • Use a basket: never place items directly on the tank bottom — doing so risks transducer damage and voids the warranty
  • Maintain solution level between 3/4 and 7/8 full; top off as needed
  • Use a non-ammoniated, non-flammable ultrasonic solution; pre-mix concentrates with water before filling the tank
  • Warm baths clean better — run the unit a few minutes to degass new solution before cleaning

Solution savings tip: At the start of each day, decant the clear top layer of settled solution for reuse, strain the bottom layer for debris (check for valuables), dispose of waste responsibly, return the saved solution to the tank, and top off with fresh pre-mixed solution.
