Whaley Ring Gauge

The Whaley Ring Gauge is a practical bench tool designed to help jewelers quickly determine the approximate amount of metal stock needed to make a ring — no mathematical equations required. Created by Jay Whaley in collaboration with Eurotool, this ring ruler gauge streamlines one of the most common calculations at the bench.

The process is straightforward: first, use the gauge to measure the thickness of your metal stock. Then lay the stock along the gauge to get the precise length it should be cut. A built-in saw blade guide ensures your cuts are straight and true, so when you bend the stock, you achieve perfectly flat surfaces for joining — resulting in clean, professional seams every time.

Markings are included on both sides of the gauge, making it equally comfortable for left- or right-handed jewelers.
