128.508: BURRO Jeweler's Bur Rotating Organizing Holder

Have a big investment in jeweler's burs stashed all over you bench? The new BURRO Jeweler's Bur Rotating Organizer from Nashef Designs will fix that, as it is the ultimate jewelry bur organizer, marked with popular bur part numbers, for quick and easy access in a small space.

The BURRO system was designed using Busch Bur part numbers, the dominate jewelers bur brand used worldwide. The BURRO will easily accommodate any brands of jewelers bur, as most brands use similar style numbers.

The BURRO system sits on a soft action lazy Susan for smooth rotation. The front hole which fits 3/32" burs allows for the placement of the bur that is in use and behind it is a compartment to store same size burs until they are needed.

This BURRO system consists of 7 layers:

  • Base (B0): This layer is for Ball/Round burs (Busch Fig. 1). it has a total of 47 compartments, which accommodate all the sizes Busch ball burs come in. Ball/Round burs are considered the most essential burs for stone setters and they come in huge range of sizes.
  • Layer 1 (L1): This layer is usually optional, it is designed to fit Bearing Cutter 90° Burs, (Busch Fig. 156C), or Cup/Concave Burs, (Busch Figs. 77B, 411C, 411CCC, 411T, 411CT).. It also has a total of 47 compartments and should accommodate either bur style.
  • Layer 2 (L2): This layer is for Bearing Cutter 70° Burs (Busch Fig. 446). This is the second most used bur style after Ball/Round Burs, there is a total of 31 compartments.
  • Layer 3 (L3): This layer is for Stone Setting burs (Busch Fig. 413). This is the third most used bur style in setting stones. There is a total of 27 compartments.
  • Layer 4 (L4): This layer is mainly to be used with Bud Burs. However, the following styles can fit in this layer - Bud Burs (Busch Fig. 6), Cone/Pointed Burs (Busch Fig. 5), Wheel Burs (Busch Fig. 2), Cylinder Burs (Busch Figs. 15 & 21) and Pointed 100° Burs (Busch Fig. 420). There are a total of 23 compartments in L4.
  • Layer 5 (L5): This layer is mainly for Twisted Drill Burs. However, the following styles can fit in this layer - Twist Drill (Busch Figs. 77, 4205S,4203,203HSS), Inverted Cone Burs (Busch Fig. 3), Flame Burs (Busch Figs. 27A & 152). There is a total of 19 compartments.

BAU118.170: Busch Fig 1AU Carbide Round Burs 3/32" Shank - Complete Kit-Set of 19 - 0.50mm to 2.30mm

Burs made of carbide are the longest lasting burs we sell, outlasting both tungsten vanadium burs and high-speed burs. Use them on the toughest metals including platinum, titanium and even steel, or use them instead of your regular burs for extremely long service life on normal gold alloys. You will find them cheaper to use than your regular burs, since they will last so much longer. These Busch carbide burs are made in Germany using state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques to give these round burs a powerful blade geometry of the kind normally only found on steel tools. All shanks are 3/32".  Recommended speed: 2,000-10,000 r.p.m.

These carbide burs are used for the second step of pave setting in hard metals. After using the Carbide twist drill 4205S to drill the starter holes in the first step of the process, use the appropriate size Carbide round bur 1AU to enlarge the hole. This creates a secure mount for the roundest of the gem to be set. Cutting in difficult to reach corner areas and also a fine refinishing can be done with the small diameter 0.4mm bur.
