Wonderful old school handles

I'm so happy to see that these are still made. I was first introduced to the wire-wrap handles with Simonds models about 35 years ago and never saw anyone else in the US provide them (unsure who may have made those for them). These are some of the most comfortable I've used other than some I've made myself and I'm not terribly fond of the many plastic or rubberized handles these days. Doesn't hurt to put a drop of epoxy or something on the wire end, just in case, but they generally stay put. If they ever come unwound it's a little finicky to get them together again. Takes finish well if you want to add some color. First time ordering these from Otto Frei but I've picked some up from other suppliers over the last couple years - glad they're still around for purchase.
