Foredom K.1020 Microgrinder With Adjustable Jacobs Chuck Handpiece

Foredom's new micro grinder kit includes the first micromotor handpiece we have seen with an adjustable Jacobs chuck style handpiece, similar to the popular Foredom #30 handpiece. This geared 3 jaw chuck will take a variety of bits, up to 4.0mm (5/32") in diameter, closing all the way down to zero. This new micro grinder is controlled by the dial on the box or the variable speed foot control with speeds up to 20,000 rpm. The Foredom Micro Grinder has the power and torque like a flex shaft plus the extra freedom of movement you get with a micromotor.

The K.1020 kit is great for deburring cast pieces, polishing, taking down weld seams and moderate to heavy grinding. The K.1020 kit includes:

* The H.MH-120 Handpiece contains a powerful high torque motor, producing 9.24 ounces per inch of torque, more than twice as much as the standard Foredom H.MH-170 handpiece. The handpiece length is 8-3/32" (206mm) and weighs 1-lb, 2-oz. (510 grams). The diameter of the handpiece is 1-3/8" (35mm) at cord end and 1-1/64" (26mm) at chuck end.

The control box front has switches for On/Off Power, Forward or Reverse Rotation and Manual or Foot Speed Control selection. Overload Protection turns on a red light and sounds a beeping alarm if the motor ever stalls.

All of the Foredom micromotor handpieces are interchangeable with the Foredom micromotor control box, so you may also use the Foredom standard quickchange micromotor handpiece 134.532 and the Foredom reciporcating handpiece 134.537 with this system.
