Foredom M.TXM TX Bench Motor with Built-In Speed Control and Handpiece Choice

The Foredom M.TXM is the bench-mounted version of the TX hi-torque flex shaft motor. Instead of hanging from a hanger with a separate control, the motor sits on a cast iron base with the dial speed control built in, so it goes anywhere on the workbench and there is nothing to mount or plug together. You set the working speed on the dial and use the motor's own on/off switch to power up, which brings you back to that same speed time after time. This kit pairs the 115V M.TXM with your choice of professional handpiece, from quick-change and adjustable chuck models for general bench work to hammer handpieces for setting.

The TX is the most powerful motor in the Foredom line: a 1/3 HP permanent magnet DC motor whose rare earth magnets deliver more torque at low speeds and throughout its range, with smooth acceleration up to 15,000 RPM, reversible, on ball bearings. The standard 39 inch key-tip flexible shaft accepts quick-disconnect handpieces from Foredom and other makers. If you choose a hammer handpiece, keep the dial low; hammer handpieces and duplex springs do their best work at moderate speed.

• This is a bench motor with its own control built in. The hang-up M.TX motor with a separate foot or dial control is stocked separately.
• If you choose a hammer handpiece, keep the dial low; hammer handpieces do their best work at moderate speed, and any duplex spring should stay straighter than 45 degrees.
