The Jayne Redman Wire and Tube Cutting Jig provides an adjustable cutting setup for repeatedly sawing wire and tubing to a set length. Its movable Stop, reversible Saw Guide, and V Channel help position work for controlled cuts, while the guide can be removed when a flush cut is needed. Set your length, position the stock, and establish a repeatable rhythm at the bench.
Features
- Adjustable Stop moves along the jig body to establish the desired cutting length
- Knurled knob secures the Stop in position once the length is set
- V Channel Insert incorporates a setback that allows smaller-gauge wire to pass beneath the Stop without riding up during cutting
- Reversible Saw Guide can be configured for left- or right-handed use
- Stabilizing Plug aligns with the adjacent hole when the Saw Guide is installed
- Saw Guide can be removed completely for flush cutting wire
- Beveled mounting hole allows the jig to be secured for hands-free use
Compatibility
- Can be mounted directly to a bench top through the beveled hole for hands-free use
- Can be mounted to the aluminum surface of a Jayne Redman Rotational Bench Pin using one of the surface screws
- Can be attached to the WorkRing of the Jayne Redman Rotational WorkRing System using its threaded holes
Notes
- To change the Saw Guide between left- and right-handed configurations, remove the Thumbscrew, insert it from the opposite end of the Saw Guide, rotate the guide with the V Channel facing up, and secure it to the jig with the Stabilizing Plug aligned in the adjacent hole.
- For WorkRing mounting, use a 1/4 in. (6.35 mm) Phillips head screw through the jig's beveled hole and into a threaded WorkRing hole. A 1/2 in. (12.7 mm) Phillips head screw can be installed in the adjacent threaded hole to clamp the jig in place.
