The AGILO CABSHINE-F Knife Edge is a fine grit diamond polishing wheel engineered to remove scratches on stones. Its knife edge profile allows access into narrow spaces that standard wheels cannot reach, making it well suited for detail work on cabochons and shaped stones. The wheel measures 7/8" in diameter and is mounted on a 3/32" shank for use with standard rotary handpieces.
The CABSHINE-F is designed as part of a three-step polishing process. It works in sequence with the CABSHINE-M Knife Edge Medium wheel (110.112M) and the CABSHINE-XF Knife Edge Extra-Fine wheel (110.105) to bring stones from scratch removal through to a finished polish. While it can be used alone, best results are achieved when all three steps are followed in order.
Like all rotary polishing tasks, proper technique is essential. Polish with the side of the wheel, working in one direction — for example, left to right — and then repeat in the perpendicular direction. Practicing on inexpensive stones first is strongly recommended to understand the possibilities and limitations of the tool before working on finished pieces.
