Description

The AGILO CABSHINE Square Edge Wheel Kit brings a complete three-step diamond wheel system to the jewelry workshop, designed for shaping, refining, and polishing cabochons and a wide range of gemstones. The kit progresses from Medium (M) for scratch removal, through Fine (F) for surface preparation, to Extra Fine (XF) for final polish—delivering consistent results on soft and hard stones including quartz, amethyst, turquoise, lapis, ruby, and sapphire up to approximately 9 Mohs hardness. Developed and tested by Swiss lapidary artists and fine jewelers, these diamond-filled wheels are built for reliable performance at the bench or on-site repair work that would otherwise require a full lapidary setup.

Features

  • Three-step progressive system: M → F → XF for efficient scratch removal through to final polish.
  • Square edge profile: delivers crisp, controlled contact on cabochon curves and flat surfaces.
  • Diamond-filled abrasive: provides durable cutting action and a consistent finish across sessions.
  • Wide material compatibility: suitable for stones up to approximately 9 Mohs, from turquoise to ruby and sapphire.
  • Swiss-developed: tested and approved by Swiss lapidary artists and professional jewelers.
  • Flexible workflow: not every job requires all three steps—use only the stages the stone demands.

I am amazed at how quickly my parcel arrived at my door today. Thank you for that. I set a lot of Mabe pearls, and these will be just great for final touch-ups etc. also for repolishing used set gems.

Terrific Kit

Purchased this kit to revive several pieces of old jewelry where the cabochons were damaged. After viewing a demo on You tube - decided to give it a try. Well WOW! My local jeweler said it wasn't possible to clean up these old cabs. (It was a Jasper cabochon that had dulled out, a small round Amethyst with lost luster, and a scratched tigers eye stone). This Agilo cab shine kit did the trick with my dremel ( rotary shaft) tool. . I was duly impressed by how easy it was and now these 3 old pieces of jewelry were given a new life. Anticipating to find more uses for these marvelous bits. I'm not a professional jeweler but iI achieved professional results. Very Happy.

Can you polish CZs with Cabshine? I have a friend who set some CZs in metal clay. She thought she had the stones cleaned before firing but turns out that wasn't the case. One of the CZs shows that there's something on it (after firing) and another one is cloudy. Could the table on these be polished with Cabshine?

Sorry for the long delay on this response. The answer is maybe. If something is on the surface and not below the surface, a Cabshine wheel can help. An issue that can happen with faceted stones that it is possible to touch the facets, and that would most likely round the facets. Cloudy sounds like something inside the CZ and that is damage beyond repair. Cabshine can polish a girdle, but you don't want a Cabshine to touch a facet. Thanks for asking.
