Description

Designed by Master Jeweler Peter Keep of Jewellery Training Solutions, the Ezi-Set Stone Setting Pliers make stone setting easier and more efficient. The nylon jaw supports the setting from below while the burnishing tip applies controlled pressure to the setting rim with minimal effort.

Tip Update (January 2023)

The plier tips have been updated with knurled heads for easy finger adjustment and no longer use nuts. Both the new tips and earlier version tips remain interchangeable as the thread is unchanged. Earlier version tips are available at a reduced price while stock lasts.

It looks like I am supposed to modify the tip in order to use this? Is there more info on modifying the tips and what modification will yield what design?

Does this work on silver? Would this type of setting crack stones softer than diamonds?

Yes the Ezi-Set pliers will work with all non ferrous metals including silver. You don't need to use a lot of pressure to move small amounts of metal but too much pressure could cause some soft stones with thin girdles to crack so practice on cheaper stones first.
