Foredom TX Flex Shaft with C.EMXF-1 Dual Speed Dial Control and Handpiece Choice

Cutting, drilling and bur work at the bench need a motor that keeps pulling under load rather than stalling the moment the tool bites. This kit pairs the Foredom M.TX, the most powerful motor in the Foredom line, with the 115V C.EMXF-1 dual speed range table top dial control and your choice of handpiece. The M.TX is a 1/3 HP permanent magnet DC motor: rare earth magnets replace the wound fields of Foredom's universal motors, so it delivers more torque at low speeds and throughout its range, with smooth acceleration up to 15,000 RPM. It replaces the discontinued Foredom Series R.

The C.EMXF-1 dial control sits on the benchtop, so you set your working speed by hand and it holds steady while you work. Its LO/HI range switch is what sets it apart from the plain dial control: LO restricts the dial to the lower part of the motor's speed range for finer control at slow speeds, where stone setting and hammer work happen, and HI opens the dial to the motor's complete range. Fourteen handpieces are available on this kit, from quick change and adjustable chuck handpieces for general bench work to hammer handpieces for setting.

• Important: The M.TX must always be run through a TX-compatible speed control such as the C.EMXF-1 in this kit. Never plug the motor directly into a wall outlet.
• If you choose a hammer handpiece, keep the dial low and use the LO range; hammer handpieces do their best work at moderate speed, and any duplex spring should stay straighter than 45 degrees.
• This is the 115V configuration with the dual speed range dial control. The same motor is also offered with the C.EMX-1 single range dial control and with the C.TXR-1 foot control.
