Grobet USA screwhead files with tang are precision tools designed for filing slots in small screws and narrow slots of any kind. These 3" files feature a narrow diamond cross-section with short bevels and sharp edges, making them ideal for exacting bench work where control and precision matter. The cut is the same on every screwhead file in this series — single-cut on both edges — and both flat sides are safe (no teeth), so only the edges do the cutting work.
Screwhead files are numbered by thickness, not by cut. The thickness number ranges from #2 (0.70 mm, the thickest) to #8 (0.35 mm, the thinnest), allowing you to match the file precisely to the slot you need to work on. The last number in the part number always refers to thickness on this scale.
