Description
Hydroflux Flux DRY is a powdered boric acid formulation designed specifically for use with the Hydroflux water welder. Because boric acid in powdered form is non-hazardous, this product ships safely without the restrictions that apply to liquid flux solutions. Each 1-quart container holds the correct measured amount of powdered boric acid to be mixed with 1 quart of methanol (methyl alcohol)—creating the flux solution recommended for most metalworking applications.
Methanol is a hazardous shipping item and is not included. It should be sourced locally before mixing.
Features
- Powdered boric acid formula — non-hazardous and safe to ship
- Pre-measured for a 1-quart yield when combined with 1 quart of methanol
- Recommended flux solution for use with the Hydroflux water welder on most metals
- Compatible with all gold and silver alloys
- Running the Hydroflux without the flux mixture is recommended for platinum work
- Adjusts maximum flame temperature when mixed with methanol
