Description

This Alexandrite Simulant is composed of lab-created synthetic purple corundum, exhibiting a grayish purple color that evokes the distinctive color-shift character of natural alexandrite. With a hardness of 9 on the Mohs Scale, these stones offer exceptional durability suitable for everyday wear. Available in calibrated marquise faceted shapes across a range of sizes, these imitation alexandrite stones are well-suited for a variety of jewelry-making applications.

These stones are safe to fire in metal clay and approved for stone-in-place casting, making them a versatile option for metalsmiths working with both traditional and contemporary fabrication techniques.
