NC Black Company has been making metalsmith hammers in the USA since the early 1990’s. All tools are hand fabricated one at a time by expert craftsmen and are guaranteed by the factory in Mount Airy, North Carolina.

For best results with the C Synclastic Shell Forming Hammer, work 20–24 ga sheet and build your form gradually with controlled, glancing blows rather than heavy strikes.

The 26 Buster is designed by Annie Grimes Williams and is intended for micro-scale forming techniques; the Elyse, Nancy, and Buster hammers are designed as a stepdown system from large to small.
