Un kit de moteur suspendu à flexible suspend un moteur au-dessus de l'établi et transmet à votre main la puissance nécessaire au perçage, au meulage, au polissage et à la finition grâce à un arbre d'entraînement flexible. L'Ottoflex S Model 2 est un kit avantageux offrant une commande fiable et une fabrication robuste. Un moteur à roulements étanches de 1/8 HP fonctionne sur une plage de 0 à 20 000 tr/min, tandis qu'une pièce à main de type n° 30 équipée d'un mandrin réglable et de sa clé s'associe à une pédale de commande en plastique réactive pour des démarrages progressifs à basse vitesse et un enlèvement rapide de matière. Le kit comprend le moteur, la pièce à main et sa clé, la pédale de commande ainsi qu'une fiche nord-américaine à 3 broches, et fonctionne sous 110 V / 60 Hz à 2,6 A.

Compatibilité

L'Ottoflex S Model 2 est compatible avec toutes les pièces à main Foredom à embout à clé et toutes les commandes de vitesse Foredom 110 V. Les dimensions de l'arbre d'entraînement à embout à clé et de la gaine sont similaires à celles du modèle Foredom SR.

Remarques

  • L'Ottoflex S Model 2 ne partage aucune pièce avec l'Ottoflex original. Les arbres et les gaines sont interchangeables avec ceux utilisés sur le Foredom SR.
  • Gardez la ligne d'entraînement propre et lubrifiée pour un fonctionnement plus fluide et une durée de vie prolongée.
  • Le réglage de l'embout à clé consiste à faire dépasser l'arbre intérieur de 3/4" (19mm) au-delà de la gaine extérieure afin que la pièce à main s'engage correctement. Desserrez la vis de pression sur le raccord du moteur, déplacez la gaine vers l'intérieur ou l'extérieur, puis resserrez-la. L'embout à clé doit s'enclencher fermement dans la rainure de clavette de la pièce à main.

Good Flex Shaft

I got this because I heard it is a good alternative to the foredom. No complaints so far; runs quiet, good power. The sheath on the flex shaft seems very durable and the foot pedal is nearly exactly the same as the foredom one. The hand piece is fine unless you want a really thin gripping area.

The handpiece

I am reviewing the handpiece separately from the motor and shaft because the handpiece has a serious, dangerous flaw. Foredom’ s hand-piece, on which this is based, has an outside aluminum sheath which covers the rotor teeth. The teeth are not covered by the sheath on this handpiece. The top of my finger slipped into the teeth while the hand piece was in use. The skin was pinched between the teeth and was getting pulled down into the device. It was painful and horrible. I suggest you buy the foredom original hand piece.

Powerful, with some flaws

I couldn’t spend much on a rotary tool. I got this one and there are many things to recommend it. It is powerful, runs smoothly, and is very quiet, especially compared to my dremel.
On the down side, I didn’t notice that it doesn’t have a reverse. Or, an on off switch. I have to unplug it when I’m not using it, if I don’t, I could accidentally step on the foot control, causing the motor and handpiece to jump and run without me! Yikes.

Is this compatible with the Foredoom Key Tip H.15 Hand piece, Hammer ?

Yes. The Ottoflex uses a key tip flex shaft, the exact same key tip flex shaft used by Foredom. So the Ottoflex will work with all Foredom key tip handpieces like the H.15.
