Notes

How to use a disc cutter:

1. Place the disc cutter on top of a rubber pad for support.
2. Apply a cutting lubricant, such as Stay Sharp, to the cutting edges of the punch.
3. Strike with a suitable mallet only — never a nail-driving hammer. Brass mallets are recommended.
4. Always support the opposite side of the cutter with a sheet of the same diameter metal being cut. This keeps the upper and lower parts in alignment and minimizes material sticking.
5. Do not exceed the maximum recommended metal thickness for the cutter.
6. Only cut soft non-ferrous metals such as brass, copper, silver, and gold.
7. Ensure cutting edges are facing down before striking.
8. To prevent rust, keep the disc cutter lubricated between uses and store in a dry location.
9. Use with a 95 durometer urethane pad to extend cutter life.
