Description

Hello,

How long Swiss Torch Micro Heads last? i know they are consumable, but how fast they "burn".

Thanks

Tomas.

OttoFrei.com

Sorry we don't know how long they will last. From the amount of replacement tips we sell, most users of this torch are getting a long service life from the tips.

Can the Swiss torch operate on disposable oxy propane tanks?

OttoFrei.com

While we recommend using oxygen and propane tanks with adjustable regulators while using the Swiss Torch, the Micro Head is the one head attachment that can work with disposable oxy and propane tanks, although not at its full potential.

Hello, I'd like to do very small ga. wire sculptures and assemblages (larger than jewelry). Orthe torches that I have used have been overkill, too hot with too broad a flame with melting issues of the parent metal.
Would it be possible to send a PDF of the instruction manual for this torch please?
Thank you.
Glen

Hi Glenn, Sorry no such instruction manual exists. The factory doesn't supply anything like that. The micro head produces a fine flame by jewelry repair standards, and ranks up there with the Smith Little Torch in terms of flame size range. But the Swiss torch has a lot more range in the upper end than a Smith Little Torch so it might work well for you if doing "larger than jewelry" sculptures. We do have a video showing the Swiss Torch in use that might help.
