10X Triplet LED/UV Light Loupe

10X Triplet Loupe with two Separate Lighting Systems-Bright White LED and UV (Ultraviolet)

This 10X Triplet* has a top quality 20.5mm diameter Aplanatic** and Achromatic*** glass lens with two different lights, a bright circle of LED lights and a separate single UV (Ultraviolet) light. Lights are activated by separate miniature on/off switches located next to the lights. Because the use of the LED light renders the UV light unusable, for practical reasons you can only use one light source at a time, so the loupe functions as either a LED loupe or as a UV loupe. The Ultraviolet light is used for checking fluorescence in diamonds and has a wavelength of 380-390nm. Diamonds with fluorescence will appear cloudy when viewed with the UV light on.

The triplet loupe with Led and UV lighting is powered by three (3) L936 (Eveready 394) button cell batteries. The batteries are accessed by a threaded cap that can be unscrewed with a coin.
