12mm x 6mm Marquise Green Moss Agate Cabochon

Agate is a type of chalcedony with curved and angular bands of color that vary in color and transparency. From patterns of lace, moss, and branches to entire landscapes of deserts and forests, Agate is a unique and diverse gemstone. Agate usually forms inside gas cavities within volcanic rocks, with its characteristic stripes resulting from growth bands following the cavities contours. The dark greenish mineral chlorite is responsible for the mossy inclusions in Moss Agate. Clean with warm, soapy water. Avoid use of ultrasonic and steam cleaner.
