The brand name Kerr Satin Cast 20 is no longer in use as Kerr Dental ceased distributing products to the jewelry industry late 2017. The USA factory that produced Kerr Satin Cast 20 for Kerr Dental is now branding investment under their own name as Allied Mineral SC20. Nothing has changed but the name.  In 2020, Allied Mineral sold the SC20 formula and rights to Ransom & Randolph, America's largest and best known manufacturer of jewelry investment.  As before, nothing has changed but the name.

Casters throughout the world demand Allied Mineral SC20 formula casting investment for its defect free repeatability and satin smooth finishes. SC20 casting investment produces fine detail and consistency time after time with a "satin smooth" finish. SC20 is manufactured with extra fine grain, zero mineralized cristobalite powder. This highly refined powder helps increase productivity and produces a smooth creamy consistency and extra dense castings. The work time of SC 20 is 9-10 minutes with 72 deg F water. The flask set time is 11-12 minutes. SC20 is for metals that cast at temperatures under 2000 deg F/1093 deg C.
