Aluminum Oxide Sanding Bands 1/2" x 1/2"-60 to 600 Grit-Packs of 10

These aluminum oxide sanding bands deliver fast, consistent material removal and smooth pre-polishing results for jewelers and metalsmiths. Manufactured using high-grade mineral and a bonding system engineered to reduce shelling, these bands offer reliable performance across a wide range of finishing tasks. Available in seven grits ranging from aggressive 60-grit stock removal to fine 600-grit pre-polish prep, they are well suited for shaping, cleaning up seams, and refining metal surfaces before final polishing.

Each band measures 1/2" in diameter by 1/2" long and is designed for use with 1/2" rubber sanding drum mandrels. To install, slip the band onto the rubber drum with the screw loose, position the band, then tighten the screw to expand the drum and lock the band securely in place. Sold in packs of 10.

Compatible mandrels accept either 3/32" or 1/8" diameter shafts. Rubber sanding drum mandrels are sold separately. For best results, operate within 25%–50% of the 40,000 RPM maximum speed.
