Product Details

The Badeco MX-4 Touch Evolution (Version 2) is a dual-voltage multi-station micromotor system that brings four precision handpieces to your bench with instant, auto-sensing selection. Remove any handpiece from its holder and the control unit powers that tool—reducing clutter from multiple motors and pedals while delivering the low-speed torque, control, and reliability demanded by professional jewelers and watchmakers.

Features

  • Auto-sense station selection: Power enables automatically when a single handpiece is lifted; removing more than one stops power to prevent conflicts.
  • RS2000 Carbon Series micromotors deliver strong low-end torque across the full 2,000–20,000 rpm range for drilling, setting, and finishing.
  • HP465 Quick-Change handpiece accepts 3/32" (2.35 mm) shank burs with a quarter-turn open/close collet—no need to stop the motor for tool changes.
  • HP318 Combi Hammer handpiece offers selectable continuous (hand mode) or single-stroke (foot mode) impact with on-handpiece impact strength control.
  • HP4LC100 Polisher/Micro Filer uses reciprocating action for fine polishing and filing in tight, hard-to-reach areas; compatible with ceramic and mini files.
  • HP380 Adjustable Chuck handpiece clamps shanks from 0.05–4.5 mm, eliminating collet changes across a wide range of tools and mandrels.
  • Dual voltage 115/230 V control unit suits benches in North America and internationally.
  • V2 redesigned control panel with 6-prong foot control connector for use with PC200/PC800 foot controls.

Operating Modes & Controls

  • Hand / Foot Selection (left toggle): Hand = speed via center dial. Foot = speed via PC800 pedal.
  • Direction (center toggle): Forward (right rotation) or Reverse (left rotation).
  • Foot Pedal Behavior (right toggle): Set-speed or variable-speed when in Foot mode and speed dial is above OFF.
  • Auto-sense holders: To leave holders empty, block the unused holder's photo cell.

Compatibility

To configure a custom MX-4 Touch Evolution set, start with the single-handpiece kit 134.746-450 and add your preferred combination of handpieces and RS2000 micromotors. Note that the V2 control unit uses a 6-prong connector compatible with PC200/PC800 foot controls; it is not compatible with the 7-prong PC100/PC750 used on earlier versions.

Notes

The HP465 collet is engineered for highly precise 3/32" shanks. For best results, use precision burs from makers such as Busch, Brasseler/Germany (Fox, Panther, Komet), and Dentsply Maillefer. Variations in shank diameter common to some HSS burs may reduce gripping performance. Service is performed by the manufacturer at 8 rue de la Coulouvrenière, CH-1204 Genève, Switzerland; refer to the included factory warranty card or contact Badeco for repair instructions.
