Single unit weight: -- lbs / -- kg
This 6" bench shear delivers outstanding value for professional jewelers and metalsmiths who need a capable, heavy-duty cutting tool for sheet metal and rod stock. Cutting blades are manufactured from high-temper carbon steel and handle sheet metal up to 10 gauge (0.100" / 2.6 mm) thick. The 6" blade length accommodates cuts up to approximately 4-1/2" in a single pass.
A hole in the side of the shear accepts round rod stock up to 3/8" in diameter. An adjustable support rod helps hold sheet material in position for more controlled cuts. The extra-long 24" handle provides the leverage needed when working through thicker stock. While this style of long-handle bench shear is not as precise as guillotine-style shears, it excels at quickly cutting smaller pieces of thicker material. Longer straight cuts require careful technique to maintain accuracy.
The shear must be securely mounted to a workbench before use. Mounting requires 4 nuts and bolts, which are not included.
