These unique tools are for laying out and fabricating wire settings while making the prongs perfectly symmetrical. One end of each tool has 8 notches and the other end has 12 notches. The grooves are properly spaced to make perfectly symmetrical settings. One end is angled at 10 degrees, the other at 20 degrees. To use, cut strips of wire 20 to 30 mm long and place them into the grooves to make a 4 prong or 6 prong or however many prongs you would like to use. Use super glue to keep the prongs together or binding wire. Gallery wire can be added for support now or later. Remove your prong setting from the Aluminum jig if you are going to torch solder, or if you are using a laser welder or a PUK welder you can go ahead and make your welds. Remove the setting from the tool and trim the wires back to fit your stone. You can even form the finished round setting in a fancy shaped bezel block to make fancy shaped settings. Available in two shaft diameters, 12 mm and 15 mm.
