Product Details

Sold by the piece, These Busch Fig 446AU carbide 70 degree hart burs are used for cutting seats in prongs.  Busch carbide burs are also available in a Fig 414AU 90 degree hart burs (see part number BAU118.509) and in a Fig 413AU traditional setting bur (see part number BAU118.808AU)

Burs made of carbide are the longest lasting burs we sell, outlasting both tungsten vanadium burs and high-speed burs. Use them on the toughest metals including platinum, titanium and even steel, or use them instead of your regular burs for extremely long service life on normal gold alloys. You will find them cheaper to use than your regular burs, since they will last so much longer. These Busch carbide burs are made in Germany using state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques to give these round burs a powerful blade geometry of the kind normally only found on steel tools. All shanks are 3/32". Recommended speed: 2,000-10,000 r.p.m.
