Here is another ancient low-tech method to do simple small crude casting. Using cuttlefish bone, press model directly between two pieces of cuttlefish bone. The soft shell makes a smooth walled mold. Sprue, gates and vents are cut into the wall with a sharp knife. The two halves are held together with binding wire and the molten metal is poured into the cavity. Each package of Cuttlefish Bone contains six pieces.
