Product Details

The Durston 2117 Palm Design Steel Pattern Plate lets you roll flowing, botanical textures into sheet metal, producing bold, organic surface detail in a single controlled pass through your rolling mill or press. Crafted from hardened steel, this plate is built to withstand the compressive forces of repeated use while maintaining crisp pattern definition across the working surface.

Features

  • Palm-themed pattern plate for imprinting botanical textures onto jewelry sheet metal.
  • Constructed from hardened steel — 3 mm (approx. 1/8") thick — for long service life under rolling or pressing loads.
  • 63 mm × 150 mm (approx. 2.48" × 5.91") format works comfortably with most jewelry rolling mills and small hydraulic presses.
  • Suitable for non-ferrous sheet metals including gold, silver, copper, brass, and nickel silver.
  • Recommended for sheet thicknesses from approximately 16 gauge down to 26 gauge.
  • Compatible with both rolling mill and hydraulic press setups.

Notes

For best results, use well-annealed sheet metal within the recommended gauge range and follow your rolling mill or press manufacturer's guidelines. Test reduction and pressure settings on scrap material before working on finished pieces. Keep the plate clean and lightly protected between uses to preserve sharp pattern detail over time.
