The Durston Airmax 2200 is a professional-grade, fully enclosed polishing machine engineered to provide exceptional dust extraction, cleaner air, and powerful polishing performance in jewelry workshops and manufacturing environments. It combines a high-performance 0.75kW Baldor motor with an advanced three-stage filtration system that captures fine polishing dust while allowing valuable precious metal particles to be recovered.
Its extraction system delivers up to 2,200 CFM of airflow before filtration and approximately 1,700 CFM after passing through the three filtration stages, providing excellent air quality while maintaining strong suction. Variable fan speed controls allow you to fine-tune airflow for different polishing materials, helping improve polishing efficiency while reducing compound and buff consumption.
The sealed Baldor motor operates at 3,450 RPM, is permanently lubricated for long service life, and is UL approved. Despite its impressive performance, the Airmax 2200 operates at approximately 65 dB, making it significantly quieter than many conventional polishing units. A foot pedal is included for convenient hands-free operation.
Built from heavy-duty 2mm steel, the Airmax 2200 is designed for years of demanding workshop use. Integrated LED work lights illuminate both polishing stations, while convenient storage drawers, a top storage tray, locking casters, and an emergency stop button make daily operation both efficient and safe. Each unit is hand built by Durston, using heavy duty 2mm steel for the cabinet and a powerful suction motor made specifically for particulate matter, mounted in a sealed cabinet for maximum power.
This unit ships truck freight from Arizona, USA; please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery.
The cabinet stands approximately 60" tall on locking casters, which can be removed to lower the machine by about 4". The first-stage filter sits just below the bottom suction gates for easy access, while the second-stage filter bags are located above the final HEPA-rated filter behind a lockable door. Access to the polishing area is through the front, protected by soft bristle guards split horizontally, with a large entry area allowing operators to lean in and rest their forearms while polishing.
The control panel includes three switches for polishing motor power, extractor (suction) motor power, and lighting, along with digital controls above them for motor rotation direction (forward or reverse), polishing motor speed (as a percentage of power), and a reset button for adjusting these settings.
