The Foredom A-WT1727 Wolf Trimmer is a multipurpose holding tool designed to securely position a rotary handpiece, freeing both hands to precisely locate and trim carving waxes and other workpieces. Originally produced by Ikohe for Kate Wolf, this tool is now manufactured by Foredom and remains unchanged from the original Wolf Trimmer design.
Built around a plastic sleeve that fits over a #30 style flex shaft handpiece, the Wolf Trimmer features a 3-inch diameter flat stainless steel working surface that stabilizes the tool during use. It is optimized for trimming waxes with an 11.0 mm diameter cylinder bur, though its design accommodates a variety of rotary tools. The Wolf Trimmer can be held against a bench pin or used with the GRS BenchMate system—a compatibility that was a core consideration in the original design. It is also an excellent way to extend the life of fragile separating disks by keeping the tool stationary during use.
