Performance & Applications

Operating Guidelines

• Maximum speed (MOS): 20,000 RPM for 3" 3M™ Radial Bristle Discs.
• Recommended operating range: 1,750–18,000 RPM depending on grit (see chart on page 1 of manual).
• Use 2–3 discs for tight, narrow areas and 6–12 for broad surfaces.
• Mount discs on correct-side adapters: arrow toward motor (right) or facing out (left).
• Do not exceed rated speeds; always wear eye protection and secure loose clothing.

Included Compounds

• Platinum Blue: Coarse to medium pre-polish for platinum, gold, and base metals; removes fine marks.
• Platinum White: Fine final polish for bright, reflective finish on all metals and acrylics.

Safety & Care

• Always wear safety glasses or face shields when using rotary tools.
• Never exceed maximum rated speed or use damaged accessories.
• Store in a dry, cool location between 40°F (5°C) and 150°F (65°C) for at least 24 hours before use.
