The Foredom K.2245 Deluxe Stone Setting Kit brings together two specialized handpieces and a high-torque, low-speed flex shaft motor in one comprehensive package — purpose-built for professional jewelry stone setters. At the heart of the kit is the Foredom M.LX Series motor, a 1/10 HP permanent magnet ball bearing motor designed to deliver exceptional torque at low RPM without bogging down under load. This makes it ideal for drilling, bur work, and hammer handpiece applications where speed control and sustained power are critical.
The LX Series is the successor to Foredom's discontinued EE, R, and original L Series motors, continuing the legacy of professional-grade stone setting performance. Because the M.LX requires a compatible foot control to operate correctly, this kit includes the Foredom C.TXR foot-operated variable speed control. Do not use the M.LX motor with any foot control or bench control other than the Foredom C.TXR, C.SXR, or EMX bench-mounted control — use of incompatible controls may damage the motor.
This kit ships free within the continental United States. If ordered alongside non-qualifying items, shipping charges will apply only to those items; this kit ships at no additional freight cost.
