High-torque, low-speed flex shaft kit for stone setting, low-RPM drilling, and controlled rotary work with a chuck-style handpiece and matched electronic foot control. The motor digs in smoothly at low speeds so burs cut cleanly without bogging or racing away from you.
Features
- High-torque, low-speed flex shaft motor designed for stone setting and low-RPM drilling
- Permanent magnet motor maintains torque at low speeds for precise control under load
- Ideal for use with hammer handpieces and drill press setups that must run below typical flex shaft speeds
- Replaces earlier EE, R, and L series stone-setting motors with an updated LX design
- H.30 adjustable chuck handpiece accepts a wide range of small rotary tools and burs
- C.TXR electronic foot control provides smooth, responsive speed adjustment matched to the LX motor
- Standard shaft and sheath interface with Foredom quick-disconnect handpieces for flexible bench setups

Compatibility
- M.LX motor must be used only with compatible Foredom controls: C.TXR (plastic housing) or C.SXR (cast iron housing) foot controls, or EMX bench-mounted dial control.
- Recommended for applications that require low speeds and constant torque, such as stone setting and work with hammer handpieces.
Notes
- The LX motor requires its own special control—do not operate it with non-LX/TX series controls or controls from other manufacturers.
- Hammer handpieces should be run at low speeds, typically under 3,000 RPM; the LX motor’s torque curve is designed for this operating range.
- Using the LX with any control other than Foredom C.TXR, C.SXR, or EMX may damage the motor.
