Fretz Michael Good CP-2 Planishing Hammer

The Fretz–Michael Good CP-2 is a cross pein planishing hammer designed specifically for anticlastic raising. Made to Michael Good’s specifications at the Fretz factory, the CP-2 features a long, slightly curved head for a controlled, arcing stroke and polished stainless steel faces for clean planishing on thin material. A 250 mm (10") handle provides leverage for heavier work.

Why the CP-2

• Long, gently curved head helps deliver predictable strikes along flowing curves
• Narrow face works inside tighter concave areas; heavier end adds useful heft
• Pairs well with nylon (or metal) sinusoidal stakes for anticlastic forming

Notes

• The CP-2 differs from the CP-1 in face proportions: CP-2’s large face is thinner/narrower, while its thin face is thicker. Together, CP-1 and CP-2 provide four distinct face dimensions.
