Product Details

Designed by Michael Good with Bill & Jordan Fretz, the Fretz–Michael Good P-1 is a stainless steel planishing hammer optimized for anticlastic raising. The ends of the P-1 head are cut away so you can clearly see the work through the bottom of the hammer—especially useful on sinusoidal stakes and tight curves. Oversized, highly polished round faces let you planish larger pieces (bracelets, sculptural forms) with speed and control.

Key Features

  • Cutaway head design improves sightline to the work while striking.
  • Polished stainless steel faces deliver clean, consistent planish marks.
  • Larger face diameters help navigate bracelets and broad curves.
  • Made to Michael Good’s specifications by the Fretz factory.
  • Recommended with a nylon sinusoidal stake for thin sheet; also suitable for metal stakes and anvils.
