Glardon-Vallorbe Checkering Pillar Precision Files are designed for craftsmen who need precise, repeatable serration work. These files are parallel in width and gently tapered in thickness. The over cut runs parallel to the file edges, while the uncut face is oriented 90 degrees to the over cut. Checkering files are used for putting serrations on knife edges and for creating checkered designs similar to a gun handgrip.

Checkering files use a different teeth or lines per square inch (LPSI) standard than ordinary precision files. All measurements are given at the thickest point of the file.

Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Made Precision Files are manufactured to precise production standards, using a combination of machine cutting and hand craftsmanship to produce accurate, long-lasting files. Made from the finest heat-tempered chrome alloy steel, they deliver superior performance on all metals. Formerly distributed by Grobet USA under the Grobet Swiss name.

Note on sizing: Glardon-Vallorbe precision files are measured from the point where the teeth begin to the end of the file. A 6" precision file measures 8-1/2" overall from tip to end of tang.
