Product Details

Glardon-Vallorbe crossing needle files are Swiss-made precision tools built for professional jewelers and metalsmiths who demand accuracy and longevity. Featuring round handles, these files are measured tip to tip, including the handle. The cutting length is measured from where the teeth begin to the end of the file.

Crossing files are half round on two sides, with one side having a larger radius than the other. They taper in both width and thickness and are cut and usable all the way to the point. They are used primarily for filing interior curved surfaces, and the double radius makes it possible to file at the junction of two curved surfaces.

Glardon-Vallorbe needle files are graded from 00 (coarsest) to 6 (finest). The higher the number, the finer the cut. Manufactured to precise production standards using a combination of machine cutting and hand craftsmanship, these files are made from the finest heat-tempered chrome alloy steel — delivering superior performance on all metals.
