LP1170 and LP1171 Joint Round Edge files from Glardon-Vallorbe are parallel in width and thickness, with rounded edges. These files are cut on the edges only. They are used for getting into thin narrow spaces where they will file depth wise but not any wider than you want. Jewelers need them for fabricating joints, hinges and tubing. Also used in guitar repair and servicing as bridge & nut slotting files.Joint Round Edge files (Chenier files) are only made in cut 2 medium.
The cut length is 100 mm (4") by 10 mm (0.39") width. Choose from a variety of thicknesses, from 0.3 mm (0.012") to 2.0 mm (5/64" or 0.079") thick. Overall length including tang is 5-5/8".
