Glardon-Vallorbe LO0402-HSS Round Traditional Gravers-0.20mm to 1.60mm

Glardon-Vallorbe makes many different round gravers in both High Speed Steel (HSS) and carbon steel. These are the LO0402 HSS traditional gravers — unhandled blanks that require shaping and fitting into a handle before use. High Speed Steel is harder than carbon steel, holds an edge longer, and requires less frequent sharpening when working across most metals.

These Swiss Made HSS gravers are recognized as the finest quality jewelers' engravers on the market, identified by the Fish trademark and the Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Made designation. Jewelers, stone setters, die sinkers, and watchmakers have relied on the consistent quality and perfect temper of these precision-made gravers for generations.

Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Made gravers are manufactured by Usines Metallurgiques de Vallorbe SA (UMV) of Vallorbe, Switzerland. Previously sold in the USA under the Grobet name, since 2015 these gravers have been offered under the factory brand name Glardon-Vallorbe — the same name used throughout the rest of the world. Note that the factory does not produce size 14 (1.40mm), size 18 (1.80mm), or size 24 (2.40mm) in High Speed Steel.
