Glardon-Vallorbe Rounding Off Escapement Files - LE3012

Swiss made Glardon-Vallorbe Rounding Off Escapement files have square handles. Escapement file lengths are measured from tip to the end of the cut and measurements do not include the tang. Escapement files are also called Watchmakers files.

Rounding Off escapement files are shaped like a half-round file but cut only on the bottom.  The top rounded edge is safe with no cut.  The sides of the file are parallel and do not taper.

• Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Made Escapement Files are measured from the point where the teeth begin to when the cut stops.  The tang or handles are not included in this measurement.
• Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Made Rounding Off Escapement Files are graded with a number from 2 for coarsest to 6 for finest. Remember, the higher the number the finer the cut.
