Grobet USA Half-Round Ring Precision Files — also called Half-Round Slim Files or Half-Round Inside Ring Files — are the best-selling file shape in the jewelry industry. Thinner in width than a standard half-round file, this profile slips easily inside rings for precise interior work. The cross section is flat on one side with a radius (not a half-circle) on the other, and both sides are cut. Width and thickness taper toward the tip for controlled access in tight areas.

Starting in 2015, Grobet Swiss Pattern Precision Files have been manufactured in Italy. If you are looking for genuine Swiss Made precision files, they are now sold as Glardon-Vallorbe Precision Files (LP1566), available in a wide variety of lengths and cuts. Files marked "Swiss Made" were made by Glardon-Vallorbe of Switzerland.
