The GRS 004-589 Inside Ring Holder with Collets is an optional attachment designed for use with the GRS BenchMate system, engineered to solve one of the most frustrating challenges in the shop: securely holding wide rings for engraving or stone setting work.

Standard ring clamps simply cannot accommodate many wide-band rings, but this holder grips rings from the inside using expanding nylon collets — no pitch, no shellac, no mess. The ring is fully supported throughout the work, then released cleanly when the job is done. For exceptionally wide rings, two collet sets can be stacked together to extend the holding range even further. Each holder includes one set of seven collets covering a full range of ring sizes. A second collet set (Part #104.616) must be ordered separately for double-stacking.

Compatibility

This Inside Ring Holder is designed as an optional attachment for the GRS BenchMate. It is not a standalone holding system. For double-stacking to hold super wide rings, a second collet set (Part #104.616) must be purchased separately.
